Norr Hill 25-08-2007

W F4 and rising, 60km, 8/8, a little light drizzle later on

Not really worth writing about this morning! In contrast to last weekend very quiet over the Norr with no birds on the Hill. No mipits or hirundines seen and the only moving birds were about 20 LBB Gulls > NW. A party of c60 Linnet were disturbed feeding from one of the horse fields.

Denholme Clough 25-08-2007

Not much happening at all down Denholme Clough this morning. Only overhead migrants were a party of 12 Swallows heading west. A few LBBGulls drifted through.

The bushes that were alive with birds last weekend were very quiet today. I did manage another Whitethroat sighting and there were a couple of imm Blackcaps as well as 3 Willow Warblers and a Chiffchaff.
