Comments: A beautiful but freezing day. Interesting to note Grahams moving Jackdaws as today was the first day of Spring I detected movement high WNW above the Wharfe. The Mistle Thrush was way up moving steadily N whilst the Fieldfares were lower and may have been on a local commute. Chaffinches are always commuting up and down the road but seemed genuinely on the move today- WNW

Contrail Vis... good v v ! 07-03-2010

KLM overhead.... (c) 2010

Finnair going north... (c) 2010

A brilliant morning for diversity. Exceptional clarity vertically to the deep blue sky above but lots of instability in the atmosphere horizontally ruined most of the none vertical shots. Nevertheless a few reasonable ones inamongst!

Just a few record shots! including ABX Air (Airborne Express) USA, Singapore Airlines, UPS Airlines USA, Icelandair,....

A wonderful morning, totally calm but here very little in the sky... possibly a bit too cold. Still frost on the grass in the shadows at 1300hrs when leaving. Meadow Pipits showing the first real signs of movement all north and throughout the morning. Curlews also well represented all going NW. Small gulls... very few in the sky, more Common than BHG and mostgoing east. Kept thinking that there might be some Whoopers but not to be this morning.
