0750 - 1200hr
W F4 increasing F5, 7degC increasing, 1000m increasing 65km, 8/8 reducing 3/8, QNH 1011 troughing out at 0800hr.
Time spent skywatching at both watchpoints this morning paid off. Initially a band of light rain passing east over the Pennines but cloudbase raising and rain ceasing by c0810hr. Meadow Pipits moving north from arrival this morning with biggest group seen being 11. More high birds than low ones seen. Carrion Crows still moving NW and north at both sites.... A good raptor morning as well with Red Kite, Buzzard and Sparrowhawk all moving north. At least six Swallows passed low and some may have been missed.
