Weather: S F5/6, 12degC, 30km, 8/8 multi layerd, QNH 997 falling 987 by 1900hr

Totals: 31 individuals, 4 species, 2:40 hours

Comments: Broken sky overnight deteriorating deeply overcast with showers late am. Wind from a southerly qtr with QNH falling deeply throughout. Virtually no movement with only a single Starling NW on the continental track and at this optimum time of year. Just dark and nasty!! Desperately in need of the next arrival here!

Weather: Strong southerly wind F4/F5. 12C with 100% low cloud lifting slightly with reasonably good visibility

Totals: 23 individuals, 3 species, 3:00 hours

Present: Grey Heron 1, Canada Goose 27, Lapwing 170, Black-headed Gull 80, Common Gull 20, Lesser Black-backed Gull 2, Fieldfare 120, Redwing 6, Magpie 6, Jackdaw 50, Carrion Crow 20

Comments: Plenty local birds around oncluding gulls and corvids with reasonably good evidence of Fieldfares and a few Redwings to and fro in the valley and c90 Lapwings to the north-west of Soil Hill and c80 towards Queensbury/Shelf areas, all in the distance but probably in the fields and disturbed by predators. What a struggle to find any movers! The highlight was 2 Goosanders >S with 7 Starlings west just as we left.

Comments: Booked a days holiday so had to go out in the strong mild S wind!! and only Jackdaws were prepared to battle against it. No other movements noted.
