Oxenhope... bitter blast! 22-11-2009

A Few Seconds to Go... run for cover! (c) 2009

Oxenhope, Bradford (W Yorks, England)
Sunday 22 November 2009
Counting period: 7:55-10:25
Weather: SW F5 increasing F6, 7degC, 65km, 5/8 frequent considerable rain squalls, QNH 994 falling 993
Observers: Dave Barker

Moving Birds:
Common Gull 4 -
Fieldfare 4 -
Lesser Black-backed Gull 1 -
Starling - 19

Totals: 28 individuals, 4 species, 2:30 hours

Comments: A deteriorating morning in all respects. Conditions against it from the start thus few of the few birds moving, up here today. Three small sqadrons of Starlings passed at intervals during the morning all travelling NW. A handful of Common Gulls passed west, a LBB Gull south and just four "long lost" Fieldfares east.... and that was it.
