Paul Clough 02-10-2006

Arrived late today 0900 but nothing moving With the exception of 16 Greenfinch and 20 + Chaffinch. The usual Bullfinch and long Tailed Tits in the Clough, even the Sparrowhawks had given it up ! I found a party of Stonechats moving along Nab Water Lane, feeding as they moved 12 in total.

Weather and Sky:
A atrocious morning initially with heavy rain, then clearing, but wind picking up dramatically later. W F2 becoming W F6, 12 increasing 14, 18000m, initially stratus 7ok becoming stratocumulus 4ok, moderate rain initially then becoming showery, 995 rising 1001hPa

A poor morning with more moving birds than expected. Hardly any pipits but surprisingly with the wind and weather relatively lots of finches possibly the first push here.
