46 Swallows all >SW and very low
12 Pied Wagtails on deck, unusual for this site

Otherwise birdless skies.

0700 – 1100hr.
Weather and Sky:
An improving morning with rain initially and at the end of the watch. WSW F5 gusting F7 later, 15 rising 17, 5000m initially increasing Flasby Fells / Humber Bridge, low stratus with fractus breaking stratocumulus 7ok, horizontal driving drizzle for the first hour then dry. 999 rising 1001.

A poor morning with nearly all of the Meadow Pipits west just prior to cessation of rain on the very edge of the reducing drizzle between c 0745 and 0800hr. A couple of Skylarks were picked up calling as they went west. Not much else at all, just too windy for today.

3rd of September 06 Watch from 08.00 – 09.00
Weather: A mild morning 15c, 80/% cloud with a F3 westerly wind. Visibility beyond 2 miles reducing as cloud increased. Around 8.15 there was light to heavy intermittent rain.

Comments: A poor morning mainly due to rain, however at 8.17 following a shower a late Swift appeared from the north and fed over the fields for a couple of minutes before moving off to the south.
