W F4, 2/8, Dry

A Slight increase to 12 Skylarks this afternoon in the regular place and all in one group. Not a single mipit seen in the fields or on the Hill and no Linnets either.

A Grey Squirrel on the dry stone walls on top of the Hill!!

Open and empty skies.

Weather:  A dry morning, W/N/W F1/2 wind with 40% cloud increasing to 60% by 08.00. Temp 8c with visibility beyond 2 miles.

 

Comments :  An average morning with a trickle of Redwing moving S/W.  3 Cormorant moving E were good for this site.

Birdwise a very poor morning, showing no sign of improvement with almost empty skies!! So much so that we packed up early! We know what you mean Tim..... Soul destroying!
